Once again this year, Kutani fine brush calligraphy artist Seito Tamura has hand-painted each piece individually.
This limited-edition Kutani ware bottle is designed around the traditional "Hatsuyume" (first dream of the New Year) culture, inspired by the custom of sleeping with a paper bearing a Takarabune (treasure ship) palindrome Waka poem placed under one's pillow.
Please enjoy it alongside the auspicious Waka poems celebrating longevity and happiness, written using the traditional "Kutani Mohitsu Saiji" (Kutani fine brush calligraphy) technique, which involves painting microscopic characters onto the vessel.Filled within this special bottle is a vintage raw sake (genshu) boasting a beautiful balance of aroma and umami, carefully selected from the iconic "Yamahai Junmai Daiginjo" crafted by Brewmaster (Toji) Noguchi.
